Alda Kauffeld is a Foreign Service Spouse who grew up in Albania during Communism. She has spent the last 25 years working for United Nations during Kosovo and Albania unrests and State Department and USAID assignments to Kenya, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Jordan etc. Alda was awarded "Best in Show" for the Art in Embassies "Through Their Eyes" worldwide DOD and State Department Photography Contest in 2012.
I took this trip to Wadi Rum in Jordan in June 2017. Knowing there was no moon in the sky and hoping for many stars, the above desert sky was unlike anything I have ever seen. The red mountain was lit up by the approaching truck of our Bedouin camp manager coming back from Iftar dinner.
Outstanding color saturation creates vivid images printed on 240 gsm Epson paper with a 10 mil thickness.
