In Stairway, I combined a tree and a stairway. I chose these simple forms to explore how changes in string weight and direction alter perception. By systematically switching the weight and direction assigned to each image through all possible permutations, I examine which combinations strengthen, diminish, or transform the visibility of one image in relation to the other.
