In her *Lost Seas* series, the artist utilizes fluid watercolor techniques to examine both the garden-like beauty and the ecological fragility of coral reefs. Focusing on the endangered Elkhorn coral, the composition features spreading, patterned arms rendered in stark white against deep oceanic blues and warm currents. This deliberate absence of pigment physically manifests the devastating effects of coral bleaching caused by unnaturally warm waters.
