AnnMarie LeBlanc

Growing up in Southeastern Louisiana, AnnMarie LeBlanc was exposed early to a rich heritage of storytelling, regional lore, and history. Her paintings are inspired by archetypal subjects, mythologies, and the unseen elements of the natural world. Residing on a continuum between abstraction and realism, her work is not merely an outpouring of energy, but an expression felt in a spirit of intuition—a thinning of the veil. Now living in Western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains, LeBlanc relocated after three decades as a university art professor and administrator. She holds an MFA from Bowling Green State University, an MA from Purdue University, and a BFA from Louisiana State University. LeBlanc's work is exhibited in galleries and museums globally, with recent shows in Chicago, Tokyo, and England. Her art and interviews are featured in publications like Abstract Sanctuary and Carolina Home and Garden.
