The Four Faces of God presents a fourfold vision of power held in relation. Emerging from a shared field, the lion, human, ox, and eagle interweave across the surface, drawing from the ancient tetramorph: courage, conscience, endurance, and vision. None stands alone. Each is shaped through relation to the others.
Echoes of red, white, and blue move through the painting not as emblem, but as lived material, suggesting the continual balancing of strength, mercy, labor, and foresight. The composition resists hierarchy. Authority appears here as distributed, relational, and under tension.
Presented within a diplomatic context, the work reflects on leadership shaped by plurality rather than dominance. It proposes that vision remains incomplete without humility, strength unfinished without compassion, and endurance dependent upon imagination.
This is not a settled image, but a held one:
a meditation on covenant, integration, and the fragile work of remaining human within power.
