Julie McIntyre

Print and fiber artist Julie McIntyre studied at the Banff Centre, Alberta, in 1986 and received her BFA from Queen’s University with a major in printmaking. She has had solo shows in twenty public galleries in Canada, including Travel Stories at Grimsby Art Gallery (2019), and has participated in well over fourty juried exhibitions internationally. McIntyre has taught workshops across Canada and is an Artist in Residence with the Vancouver School Board and ArtStarts. She has acted as president of the BC division and as a representative of BC nationally, for the CARFAC arts organization. A big believer in creative expression, Julie supports her art and advocacy work by working primarily in the hospitality industry.
