The Birth of Venuse

In my artwork "Venus" (1994, 65×50 cm, oil on canvas), I reimagine the classical myth of the birth of beauty, combining antique symbols with surrealist metaphor. Instead of a traditional female nude, I merge a graceful leg, an Ionic capital, and an intricate seashell—whose curves resemble flowing drapery—into a single form. A solitary figure steps onto the sandy shore against the endless horizon. To me, this painting is a search for form where classical harmony, the natural architecture of the shell, and femininity fuse into one image born from the sea and silence.
