Laura Zalenga

Laura Zalenga, a German self-portrait artist living in Rotterdam, is known for her clear visual language. Her art explores the power story telling and visualizing emotions. Zalenga give talks on photography and the healing power of self-portraiture. She is especially passionate about working on concepts & series exploring and addressing important global and social issues.

“In my work, I often explore nature through being in it. Trying to fit in, becoming one, merging in a way, and at the same time being fascinated by the massive contrast between a human being and nature. We are such a fragile glimpse compared to the magic of nature. To me, that is a positively humbling and deeply calming experience.”
