MARINA CHISTY

Marina Chisty (Russian-American artist) is deeply influenced by her Russian heritage and its unique intersection of culture, identity, and societal change. 

Chisty  previously studied and worked in the field of economics, and intentionally brings an interdisciplinary approach to her art. Her practice bridges science and art, focusing on themes that transcend racial, socio-economic, and physical boundaries. Her work seamlessly blends abstraction and symbolic imagery to explore the interconnected and fluid nature of time and identity.  

Marina draws inspiration from concepts in quantum physics and memory studies, using her art to investigate how time and identity are not static but are continually reshaped by our experiences and perceptions.
