Pablo V Cazares

Pablo V Cazares (b. 1989, Salinas, California) is a contemporary sculptor whose practice investigates the profound themes of emergence, evolution, and consciousness. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Art Practice from Portland State University and an MFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design (2026), Cazares builds an interdisciplinary dialogue informed by transformative physical and environmental experiences. His work has been exhibited at the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology’s Invitational at Oregon Contemporary and highlighted at the Yale Graduate Conference in Religion & Ecology. Recognizing his material and conceptual depth, he was awarded the Ford Foundation Critical Conversations Grant and the McGlassen Prize for Textile Arts. Utilizing natural, found, and industrial mediums like cast glass, concrete, and polymers, his studio practice seeks historic echoes within modern systems, positioning the human experience as an ongoing process of ecological and material transformation.
