PEISY TING

Peisy Ting is a self-taught artist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Her work explores various dichotomies- structure v. chaos, light v. dark, strength v. softness. The contrasts work to reflect Ting’s journey of self-discovery and evolution of her artistic voice, thematically charting the growth of her brushstrokes from tentative to bold, free-flowing expressions. 

Painting is Ting’s therapy; a way to release emotions, reclaim her story, and heal. The work is constantly evolving with the aim to push boundaries and embrace spontaneity. Each piece should be considered a testament to the transformative power of art. Ting invites viewers to embark on her artistic journey with her through dynamic colors, forms, and emotions. 

Ting worked as an Art Director and Creative Director for over a decade, making a life-changing shift to fine art within the last seven years. Beginning with a single acrylic painting on canvas, she has since been featured in exhibitions in Seoul, London, Bangkok, and Miami.
