REBECA SEGURA RAHME
Rebeca's art uniquely combines emotional depth and conceptual strength, utilizing a variety of mediums such as painting, mixed media, encaustic on canvas, and ceramics. Each medium adds new layers of complexity to her work, vividly expressing her innermost feelings through rich colors, textures, and raw expression.
She was born on September 15, 1977, in Córdoba, Veracruz, Mexico, and has been residing in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, for 17 years. She pursued Graphic Design and earned a Certificate in Painting from Universidad de las Américas Puebla. Her artistic journey was significantly enriched by a residency in Menorca, Spain, in 2023.
During this time, she had the privilege of learning from renowned mentors such as Guillermo Lorca García, Lita Cabellut, Vincent Desiderio, Miles Johnston, and Ryan Heshka, whose influence can be seen in her work today.
As a member of the Association of Plastic Artists of Mexico (ARTAC) affiliated with UNESCO, her work has been featured in over 30 exhibitions worldwide, spanning cities such as New York, Venice, Barcelona, Miami, San Diego, and Buenos Aires. Her art is part of prestigious collections, including those of the Ministry of Finance and National Public Credit, the Government Palace of Chiapas, and the AP Medical Center.
