Let me Sleep

"Let me Sleep", like all the paintings in this series entitled "What Do Women Want?", focuses on the facial expressions of the protagonists: Wounded, resigned, or inquisitive and implacable, these women challenge the observer outside the painting and invite them to confront with themselves, like a silent and gentle tribunal from which we cannot escape. In this case, an elderly lady is showing extreme tiredness... she is tired of everything... she just wants to sleep and that is exactly what she demands.
