Covariance and Uncertainty

Simon Berson constructs a towering biomechanical structure against a flat blue sky, building a complex vertical form out of pipes, gears, and bone-like segments. The meticulous drawing mimics a physical collage, merging recognizable objects like a miniature traffic light with strange, fleshy tubes and metallic vents. Berson deliberately blurs the boundary between the natural and the manufactured. By rendering these mechanical parts with the soft shading and organic curves of a living organism, the artwork presents a surreal automaton where biology and technology function as a single entity.
