Saliency Detection

Simon Berson constructs a complex visual puzzle where biological and technological parts fuse into a single, seamless structure. A large blue eye anchors the center of the composition, surrounded by pale green tendrils that twist like roots around mechanical gears, metallic barrels, and a bright red ribbed hose. Berson renders these forms with precise shading, giving tangible weight and volume to impossible objects. The drawing builds a surreal environment where synthetic and natural materials coexist in harmony, challenging the eye to figure out exactly where the living organism ends and the manufactured machine begins.
