Stephanie Duprie Routh is an American photographer based in Austin, Texas. Her imagery is found in the permanent collections of The Wittliff Collections, Texas A&M University, The Loren at Lady Bird Lake, and Concordia University.
Duprie’s work reflects on the complicated nature of life—looking through, and reaching for connections. In the artist’s words:
“If I listen to the whispers in the wind, I know these traits vibrantly live or are buried within: captivating beauty; wicked intelligence; a wild and bold heart; deep and soulful intuition; killer instincts; sensuality and unbridled desire.”
Her images have been exhibited in the US, Japan, and India in galleries and juried shows. She has been published by FRAMES Magazine, PDN Magazine, National Geographic Traveler, The Austin Chronicle, and several independent photo reviewers. She has one monograph titled “Where the Ocean Drinks the Sky.”
