Susan Copich is an award-winning photographer known for her acclaimed photographic series Domestic Bliss. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio, received her B.F.A. in performance and choreography from Ohio State University, and has had professional careers as a modern dancer, actor, and entrepreneur.
Copich is primarily known for her dark and witty humor; in Domestic Bliss, she voices an inner “darkness” while examining family life in a humorous context. Copich's series has been written up and reviewed in multiple languages worldwide, hitting viral status on several media outlets. The Cupcake, a video short, was released in 2016. She recently finished, then he forgot my name, a photographic, psychological landscape examining decay and mortality while reflecting on the collective awakening of female power. Copich recently returned from her fourth visit to India with a new project entitled, The Feminine. Her work is in private collections internationally, as well as shown in galleries and museums.
Copich lives in upstate, N.Y., with her husband and two daughters.
