Riffing on metaphors in nature, the ROOTS exhibition collection offers work that reflects varied interpretations of what nourishment and sustenance might be and can look like.
The subject matter represents traditional interpretations of the concept of ‘Roots' such as family, personal history, and culture, or other ways one gains strength, including new communities, or a sense of respite and rootedness in a specific place such as in nature itself. Conceptual, spiritual, and philosophical groundings abound as well.
