Space Odessy

Drawing direct inspiration from Arthur C. Clarke’s Space Odyssey, Yufei Song translates her internal reading of the novel into an expansive study of color and light. The composition abandons distinct structure for sweeping, atmospheric gestures, allowing a luminous central channel of pale pink to divide dense, earthy reds and shadowed teals. By rendering this cosmic mental image through pure abstraction, Song actualizes her interest in seeing all forms as formless. The thinned, layered brushwork constructs a vast psychological space where narrative dissolves into pure color and will, reflecting the text's existential scale.
