In this self-portrait at thirty-three, I map my own features using the highly textured, topographical approach I bring to my portraiture. I built the forms of the three interconnected faces through a deliberate clash of warm oranges and cool blues, contrasting classical volume with graphic contemporary energy. The vivid magenta background and continuous looping yellow lines weave my painted faces together with the striking teal macaws in flight. This vibrant palette and surreal composition push my traditional oil foundations into a deeply personal space, reflecting my ongoing journey to define a modern artistic voice.
