A Place That Remembers Me

Structured as a traditional triptych, this painting isolates a barefoot figure in a white gown between a glowing suburban house and an empty, snow-lined twilight road to illustrate a wayward search for belonging. As she steps across the bare earth of the center panel, small purple flowers sprout in her wake, linking her journey to the resilience of nature’s cycles. Gardiner considers the places we do not yet know exist that eventually become familiar and like home.
