Aviary

This work imagines a planted public refuge carved into the upper reaches of a monumental urban structure. Terraces, pathways, tensile canopies, and gardens create an intimate landscape against the density of Hong Kong’s skyline. Birds and vegetation introduce movement and ecological life, while the massive concrete form remains deliberately ambiguous in scale. Combining hand drawing, charcoal, and digitally assembled imagery, the collage considers how architecture might become terrain—creating places of retreat, gathering, and discovery above the city.
