Blue Circulation

Tünde Kácsor renders a turbulent coastal landscape to examine the fluid evolution of human identity. Rooted in an expressive tradition, the work relies on heavy sgraffito and thick impasto to construct a rugged, starkly white rock face that anchors the composition. Below this geological mass, Kácsor maps hidden currents through sweeping, energetic strokes of cyan and deep navy, treating the water as an active, living ecology. By contrasting the aggressively scored, resilient cliffs with the shifting, heavily brushed water, the artist visualizes the friction between environmental permanence and the emotional adaptations of the self.
