Grounding her practice in the exploration of abandoned architecture, the artist uses unnatural, Fauvist-leaning coloration to strip the scene of its mundane reality, framing it instead through a fantastical and ominous lens. A lone figure rests near the decaying pumps, dwarfed by the heavy, churning sky above.
