Tünde Kácsor constructs a heavily textured, abstracted landscape that merges the Romantic tradition of turbulent nature with the material intensity of Art Informel. Deep teals and icy whites are applied with aggressive impasto, while the surface is visibly scarred by sgraffito, carving literal currents into the paint. These physical marks mirror Kácsor’s conceptual focus on the fluidity of identity and environmental flux. By dissolving the boundary between the rugged, snow-dusted topography and the churning water, she visualizes the self as an unstable, ever-evolving ecology, defined by continuous friction and adaptation rather than a fixed state.
