SHIPS IN A TUBE! Shipping is done rolled up in a tube, without a wooden frame. The buyer must have the canvas stretched themselves; this results in significant savings on shipping costs. The Urban Mixed Media artwork 'FREE!' is a large painting in which freedom takes center stage. A girl jumps in an explosion of energy. She wants to show her joy, with the freedom she feels.  The background is a rough, weathered concrete wall. Yellow and blue paint are peeling off. Despite the rugged surface, the whole piece feels both sunny and cheerful at the same time.  Her shadow on the wall adds extra depth, while the rich texture gives the work a rough and layered character.  For many, a weathered wall is merely 'neglected maintenance'. For db Waterman, it is a unique opportunity for a painting. By placing a figure full of zest for life and freedom against this rawness, a powerful dialogue emerges: beauty lies not in perfection, but rather in the traces of time.
