Inside the Outside

Graphic remnants and the textured division of green spaces captures my impression of walks around the Upper East Side. The mix of small public space, urban grit and a more visible skyline suggests quieter moments within the city. A sudden block of bright red interrupts the organic greens to anchor the abstract shapes. Through these decisive marks, the familiar is translated into a physical, abstracted terrain.
