Maya Simmons:  "Through my rigorous training in graphics and illustration, I developed a keen affinity toward precision and process. My experience with numerous media and subject matter led to this vision. I chose acrylic paint as my medium which in addition to being technically versatile, is thematically appropriate. My 2D paintings are composed of superimposed images when combined with intricate patterns form a nontraditional style of portraiture. My objective is to portray an innovative reinterpretation of space where the human form blends into the dynamic geometry of this world."
