Memory Echoes

In *Memory Echoes*, Sherry embeds a distinct, pale green face within heavily worked layers of earthy impasto, anchoring the composition in raw psychological weight. Originating from moments of emotional pain, the densely textured surface acts as a visual record of fragmented recall. The artist uses expressive marks and scumbled pigments to physically manifest how memory shifts over time, ensuring traces of earlier applications remain visible beneath the current state. Through this intuitive framework, Sherry invites viewers to read the painting's shifting topography and consider what they carry, what has changed, and what still resonates from their own past.
