Morning dew

Modeled from a single block of marble, Water Is Life explores the profound relationship between the fragility of life and the elemental force of water. The perforated, organic shapes, like suspended drops, create an inner rhythm that recalls the continuous flow of vital fluids. The central element — a shape that evokes a drop about to break away — becomes the symbol of the regenerative essence of water. The structure of the sculpture, with carefully crafted openings and voids, allows light to circulate freely, transforming the work into a living space, in permanent dialogue with the environment. The base preserved in its raw state, which suggests the letter "V" (from "Venice"), evokes the connection between nature and human intervention, between primordial matter and the sculptural gesture that brings it to the surface. In the context of Venice — a city defined by water, memory and fragility — the work proposes a reflection on our dependence on this fundamental element and on the responsibility we have towards it.
