For me, Passages is about the courage to confront uncomfortable truths, particularly those that challenge conventional expectations of women, motherhood, and love. It’s about refusing to be confined by an inherited identity, even when it feels inseparable from one's own. Mother Me is an act of confrontation and resistance—a deeply personal search for autonomy and the freedom to define myself. The images become a record of that transformation. I have removed the objects that represented my mother's identity but am still negotiating my own. The photograph becomes less about my relationship with her and more about my relationship with myself. I am exposed and determined, emerging from the landscape rather than surrendering to it.
