Mother Me 2

For me, Passages is about the courage to confront uncomfortable truths, particularly those that challenge conventional expectations of women, motherhood, and love. It’s about refusing to be confined by an inherited identity, even when it feels inseparable from one's own. Mother Me is an act of confrontation and resistance—a deeply personal search for autonomy and the freedom to define myself. The images become a record of that transformation. The scarf draped over my head, belonging to my mother, becomes more than an object of remembrance; it is almost a second skin. By wearing it, I step into her identity. My closed eyes and heavy expression show an inward withdrawal.
