Here, I’m wearing my mother's scarf, deliberately assuming her presence, recreating the woman she presented to the world: composed, elegant, self-possessed, and carefully put together. By becoming her photographically, I begin to question what that appearance concealed. The fabric dominates the photograph, enveloping me and partially erasing my features. There is a sense of being consumed by an identity that is not entirely my own. This speaks to the central question: how much of our mothers do we carry within ourselves, and at what point does inheritance become an intrusion into our own sense of self?
