Night Voices

Sherry roots this composition in the intuitive traditions of Abstract Expressionism, building a heavily textured, impasto landscape of green and warm rust along the lower canvas. Above this rugged terrain, expansive layers of deep blue unfold to reveal a faint visage emerging directly from the atmospheric sky. By contrasting the vigorous, tactile energy of the earth below with the quiet stillness of the open expanse, the artist establishes a deeply reflective mood. This deliberate pairing of rough, structural brushwork with an expansive, thoughtful palette anchors her internal narrative within the physical material of the paint itself.
