Operating as a self-described "twenty-first-century primitive," the artist merges the ferocity of Abstract Expressionism with rigorous architectural scoring. Dense strata of golden yellow, crimson, and deep azure are aggressively excavated using sticks and knives. Anchored by a rigid vertical block of red on the left, this severe sgraffito technique creates a relentless, cross-hatched, grid-like texture that structures the otherwise chaotic surface. Emerging from this highly tactile artifact are the heavily stylized contours of two figures, their forms delineated by raw black line-work and stark red focal points. Drawing on a formal background in architectural design and Symbolism, the artist reduces these bodies to primal, totemic shapes, framing their rounded heads and central postures against the strict spatial geometry of the scraped ground.
