Remember Me

Part of my Recurrences series, this painting began with collaging antique papers from handwritten letters with my photos on rice paper, under many layers of encaustics and cold wax. The shed, the bird and the colors are all nods to nostalgic memories of rural places in upstate New York in the 1960s.
