Sailboats at Sunset

The tall masts of these sailboats against the sunset just begged to be photographed. It’s as if the masts wanted to touch the sky and with the diagonal rays, it seems the sun wanted to reach out to them as well. This juxtaposition of vertical human made boats and the serenity of evening sky filled me with a sense of calm. The boats are grounded. There is no need to move. Just soak it all in.
