The Last Silikind Flag In the beginning, there were colours, and each believed itself the light. Red held the memory of fire. Blue, the promise of an open sky. Between them, a line was drawn, and called a world. Then came the long descent, each shade surrendering to shadow, each certainty to silence. They did not reconcile. They did not turn away. They darkened together, until none could tell where one ended and the other began. Yet still, the line remained. And in the last light, when even difference had forgotten its name, the flag endured, bearing witness to all that had been divided, and nothing that had been healed.
