The Raspberry Constellation

Drawing on her background in astronomy, Sonia Redfern maps a stellar constellation across the bright turquoise leaves of a fruiting berry bramble. She paints this geometric celestial chart directly onto the organic flora, using crisp dark lines and stars that stand out against the dense green foliage and textured, grassy ground. By overlaying the mechanics of the night sky onto familiar earthly plant life, Redfern bridges the gap between botanical observation and the cosmos. This collision reflects her ongoing curiosity about our shared existence on a small planet, looking outward into the vastness of space.
