Drawing from their ongoing series of imaginary landscapes, the artist constructs this dense, semi-abstract woodland entirely without preliminary sketches. Dark, twisting vertical channels resembling aged trunks fracture a highly textured ground of mossy greens, hazy yellows, and muted purples. This intuitive application reflects the artist’s history in prioritizing the tactile imperfections of organic forms over literal perspective.
