Marie Ringwald translates the vernacular forms of everyday utilitarian structures into flattened architectural reliefs. Constructed directly from standard building supplies, this work reduces a typical facade to its geometric essentials: a textured expanse of pink brickwork, blind yellow windows, and white wooden fence. By stripping away functional details, Ringwald distills her travel observations into a synthesized formal arrangement. Operating between sculpture and painting, the resulting object presents a quiet, structural reduction of the built environment rather than a literal depiction of a specific site.
